Assignments
There are three main types of assignments in my class: Reading Responses, Letters to Lauren, and Writing Projects. Reading Responses are usually paired with an assigned reading, giving you an opportunity to engage on a more personal level. Letters to Lauren are a place for you to reflect on the week and your writing process. Writing Projects are longer and are a chance for you to practice your writing and analysis skills on a variety of topics. All three of these assignment types often involve some sort of multimodal component, meaning you may be asked to create a video, image, poster, audio track, or graphical representation of your ideas. For example, your final writing project involves creating both a written argument and visual or auditory argument about the topic of your choice. You then reflect on your choices in both modes, explaining the motivations behind your rhetorical choices.
