Biannual Student Leadership Conference (January 12, 2026)
Join us at the Student Leadership Conference from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 on the Oceanside Campus, featuring keynote speaker a prolific writer, consumer advocate, and speaker on health and green lifestyle issues. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Emanuel Bronner, founder of Dr. Bronner’s—the top-selling natural brand of soaps in North America. This bi-annual conference is open to all currently enrolled students at Âé¶¹Ó°ÊÓ.
This is a full day of learning and fun, as we provide opportunities to develop and
advance your leadership skills.

44th annual martin luther king jr. parade (January 18, 2026)
Join your MiraCosta community at the 44th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade at Waterfront Park in San Diego on Sunday, January 18, 2026. This is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the United States in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
RSVP by Thursday, January 15th at 4pm to secure your spot!
Breakfast, snacks, and giveaway will be provided for participants. Transportation
is available from Âé¶¹Ó°ÊÓ. Vans/Buses will depart MiraCosta at 9:00am, and
plan to return by 3:00pm.

CCC LGBTQIA2S+ Summit (April 15-16, 2026)
Please save the date for the 8th Annual California Community Colleges (CCC) LGBTQIA2S+ Summit. Held virtually April 15-16, 2026, from 9:00a.m. to 2:30p.m., the summit is proudly presented by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
This year’s theme, Planted in Pride and Purpose: Cultivating Queer Futures, emphasizes the summit’s intention to nurture an environment centered on steadfast community and persistent growth. Through storytelling, workshops, and dialogue, we’ll move from solidarity to action, making equity a lived practice grounded in care, visibility, and collective commitment. The summit provides an opportunity for students, faculty, classified professionals, and administrators to come together, learn from one another, share innovative ideas, and develop strategies to enhance campus programs and student support services. Through the summit, we’ll explore how to support our campuses and students to the fullest extent.
