The MiraCosta Promise Grant covers a student鈥檚 mandatory fees, including enrollment,
health, and student center fees, for up to two years.
California College Promise Grant (CCPG)
The California College Promise Grant (CCPG) is a state program that waives the $46
per unit enrollment fee for students who qualify based on financial need.
Federal Pell Grant & FSEOG
Pell Grants and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOGs) are designed
for students with exceptional financial need.
Cal Grant (A,B, and C)
Cal Grants help California students pay for college if they meet financial, academic,
and eligibility requirements. Students must apply on time to be considered. Cal Grants
do not need to be repaid and can only be used at qualifying California colleges.

Chaffee Grant
The Chafee Grant is available to students who are or were in foster care between the
ages of 16 and 18 and demonstrate financial need. Eligible students may receive up
to $5,000 per year to help pay for college or career training.
Federal Work-Study
The Federal Work-Study Program gives eligible students the opportunity to work part-time
while attending college. The earnings can help cover educational expenses.
Federal Direct Loans
Federal Direct Loans are low-interest loans provided by the U.S. Department of Education
to help students pay for their education. These loans must be repaid after a student
graduates or leaves school.
Scholarships

of their education. Scholarship eligibility may be based on financial need, academic
achievement, volunteer service, or a student鈥檚 major or program. Students are encouraged
to apply for as many scholarships as they qualify for.
