Professor Phillip Boland - 麻豆影视
An award-winning filmmaker and educator, Phillip Boland is a full-time, tenured member of the film faculty at 麻豆影视 and serves as chair of the theatre and film department. He also advises the Film Club, the college's largest club and an Outstanding Club Award recipient. Boland earned his M.F.A. from ArtCenter College of Design, and his work has received more than 25 honors at film festivals worldwide, including the Remi Grand Jury Award for Best Feature Screenplay.

Program Fees
AIFS (Study Abroad Program Provider)
- $9,495 to $10,895 depending on final enrollment (20 to 45+ students)
- 12 units (minimum) of tuition and fees to Citrus College
AIFS Ambassador Scholarship
For students enrolled in the Southern California Foothills Consortium "Barcelona Semester with AIFS Abroad," AIFS Abroad is proud to sponsor and offer five $1,000 scholarships.
*Students receiving the AIFS Ambassador Scholarships agree to work with AIFS staff during the semester to take pictures, videos and clips, and/or write a blog sharing their experiences abroad with other students through AIFS and SCFC social media sites and agree to attend a study abroad info session upon their return.
AIFS Ambassador Scholarship Instructions
In one email send the following information to studyabroad@miracosta.edu. You must be enrolled in the Seville program to be eligible.
- Attach unofficial college transcript(s) indicating 12 units completed with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.
- Must be currently attending a SCFC member college.
- Compose a statement of interest (750 words/1.5 pages) that addresses the following
points. Include your name, home college, and email address.
- Introduce yourself and your motivation for studying abroad on this program.
- What motivates you to apply for this scholarship? Do you have a specific reason or goal for wanting to serve as an AIFS Ambassador?
- Describe any related experiences, talents and abilities that may assist you in this task. What is your vision for the content you will create? What types of experiences, settings, etc. might you record?
- How you will promote study abroad during your program and when you return to your home college (or after transfer).
Selection will be based upon previous academic achievement and strength of statement.

AIFS Refund and Cancellation Policy
Email kwinslow@aifs.com and provide withdrawal intent.
- Withdrawal on or before Wednesday, November 18, 2026
All fees paid less a $150 processing fee - Withdrawal after Wednesday, November 18, 2026 but on or before Wednesday, December 18, 2026
- All fees paid less the $450 deposit and any non-refundable deposits paid by the student or by AIFS on the student's behalf
- Withdrawal after Wednesday, December 18, 2026
No refund and the total program fee is due - Withdrawal once the program has begun
No refund
Any student who is academically withdrawn by their home institution after their application has been processed by AIFS is subject to the standard refund policy.
